Tournaments
HTA administers frequent tournaments throughout the year, for both adults and juniors, including the largest amateur tournaments in the city and some of the largest in the state. Results in HTA tournaments earn USTA points that qualify players for state and national rankings.
Other Programs
HTA is a driving force for inclusive tennis play, and supports and coordinates 10-and-under tennis programs, adaptive wheelchair tennis, and Special Olympics locally.
Charitable
HTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to growing tennis in the greater Houston community. Part of that mission is the growth of the game and service to our community through scholarships and the HTA chapter of the National Junior Tennis and Learning program (NJTL), a free or low-cost youth tennis, educational, and life-skills program founded by Arthur Ashe. HTA has given over $227,000 in scholarships since 1992, and over 6,000 kids participate annually in the NJTL program.
