Ferny Avila of San Antonio and Carla Cooper of Arlington have been named the No. 1 seeds in the men’s and women’s open singles of the 2021 RBC Wealth Management Houston Open, which begins Friday, April 2, at Lee LeClear Tennis Center, 9506 S. Gessner.
Seeded second in the men’s open is Kristian Rodriquez of Houston. In the women’s open Ashley Longoria of Wylie is No. 2. Finals of both the men’s and women’s open singles finals will be Sunday, April 4, at Lee LeClear, times to be determined.
Other seeded players in the men’s singles divisions are 4.5—Kevin Martin of San Antonio; 4.0—Jerome Gooch of Round Rock; 3.5—Samanvoy Panati of Austin; 4.5 40s–JD Miles of Dallas; 3.5 40s–Tony Kayser of West Lake Hills; 3.5 50s–Perry Pise of Richmond; 60s–William Spencer of Houston; and 65s—Melvin McCurley of San Antonio.
Top seed in the 4.5 women’s singles is Lezli Harrell of Austin.
