Top seeds have been named for the Houston Tennis Association Zone Advancement Tournament, which will be held December 5-6 at eight Houston tennis sites. Lee LeClear Tennis Center, 9506 S. Gessner, is headquarters.

Draws are limited to 32 players, resulting in multiple seeds in some age divisions. The youngsters earn points to qualify for championship status.

Top seeds in the boys age divisions are: 18s–Evan Plunkett of Austin; 16s—Benjamin Berkheimer of Kingwood and Joshua Kao and Anthony Masington of Houston; 14s–Michael Hopkins of Missouri City, Noah Smistad of Friendswood and Samir Sureshbabu of Sugar Land; and 12s–Dave Daymiel of Baytown, Alessandro Sergiacomo of Houston and Joseph Legato of Beaumont.

Top seeds in the girls age divisions are: 18s–Allison Hurt of League City; 16s—Sarah Quijano and Julia Anglin of Katy; 14s–Averi Pike of Cypress and Aeris Buss of Galveston; and 12s—Kennedy Gibbs of Humble and Avery Frierson of Houston.
