...And now the stories behind these photos/teams:

The 4.5 Ladies' Team, Memorial Park Natural Guts, is going to Nationals October 31-November 1 in Las Vegas, N.V.  Matches are being played at the Darling Tennis Center built by Andre Agassi.  This is the third time this team has gone to Nationals with 2005 and 2007 being the last two times. 

Team members are: Myer Ballesteros, Lori Carruth, Kaye Estrada, Dominique Glinzler, Betsie Hollis, Connie Hsiao, Jo Keene, Cindy Madi,  Cori Mullins, Amanda Panneton, Kristen Samuelson and Avery Zercoe.

Betsie's 2005 team was third in their flight with Southern California, Southwest, and Midwest, and in 2007 the team was second in their flight with Eastern, Southern, and Hawaii.

Their goal this year is to make it out of their flight. This year their team is flighted with Southern, Midwest and Intermountain.  The Southern team they will play is our neighbor from Louisiana.

Men's teams:

The LLTC-Hurricanes 4.0 team made it to the finals of Sectionals this past weekend before losing a 3-2 heartbreaker to Dallas.  This is this team's fourth consecutive trip to Sectionals compiling an 18-3 record over than span including semi-finalist (2006), finalist (2009) and championship (2007) results.  Team members include Scott Foster, Sebastien Chambert, Tam Pham, Aaron Greene, Alex Leighton, James Robinson, Bruce Inting, Jimmy Montojo, Greg Dwyer, Michael Lo, Tu Tran, Ruben Vargas, Tuyen Nguyen, James Rice, Phong Hau and Raul Uribe.

The LLTC-Hurricanes 4.5 team won the 2009 4.5 Texas Sectional Championship in Dallas.  The team, captained by Jason Freeman, will be participating in the 4.5 USTA National League Championships October 30-November 1 in Las Vegas.  This is Jason's fifth team to take to nationals in the past three years.  Team members include Omon Dibua, Odion Dibua, Ricardo Martinez, Tim Green, John Burrmann, Ted Phoummarath, David Bvunzawayaba, Matt Sumrall, Soong Hay Tam, Andres Ballesteros, David Huffman, Phong Regent, David Lombardi, Wayne Morgan, Herbert Morton, Sarosh Ahmed, Chris Hunckler and John Day.
